Central Canada Drummer 2016 dates announced

Fetish weekend will run Thursday, March 24–Sunday, March 27, 2016 (Easter long weekend)

(October 8 2015) — Organizers today announced that the Central Canada Drummer 2016 fetish weekend will take place in Toronto on the Easter long weekend. Events will run Thursday, March 24 through Sunday, March 27, 2016. Presented by Steamworks Baths Toronto, Central Canada Drummer (CCD) fetish weekend is co-produced by Iain Bennett and Dan Madden.

Central Canada Drummer 2016 fetish weekend will include a half-dozen events over four days, including a kick-off fetish party at Steamworks on Thursday night, social and contest events at Club120, brunch at Churchmouse & Firkin, and the season finale of the Rough House dungeon party on Sunday. A complete roster of events will be announced at a later date.

A major highlight of the weekend will be the Central Canada Drummer, Central Canada Drummerboy and Central Canada Drummer Bootblack contests, to be held on the afternoon of Saturday, March 26. The title contests are open to gay-identified, biological and trans men in the fetish/kink communities who are residents of Ontario.

The Central Canada Drummer contests are designed to better reflect the reality of gay men active today in the fetish/kink communities who celebrate any of the broader range of fetish identities of gay men — from rubber and leather to skinhead, to military, sports kit, punk and uniforms, to name a few.

The contests also reach beyond limitations of contests focused on any one power dynamic and are open to gay men who identify as Dom, sub, Daddy, Coach, Master, slave, Sir, boys, and others. Weekend events are designed to be a welcoming home to those comfortable exploring power dynamics at both ends of the spectrum or anywhere in between, fetishists that migrate across a wide range of gear and play, and gay kinksters who are only gear-focused and perhaps not into power dynamics at all.

A call for contestants will be made at a later date and contestant registration will open in January. Contestant applications will be available for download at CentralCanadaDrummer.com.

Steamworks Baths Toronto (www.SteamworksBaths.com) is the Presenting Sponsor of Central Canada Drummer fetish weekend and the official bathhouse for Central Canada Drummer. Community Partners confirmed to date include Club120 (www.Club120.ca), Rough House (www.RoughHouse.ca) and Churchmouse & Firkin (www.FirkinPubs.com).

The Central Canada region is part of Drummer North America (DNA) family of contests. Winners of the Central Canada contests will compete at the Drummer North America contest weekend in early 2017 in Las Vegas; exact dates to be confirmed.

The Central Canada Drummer organization is led by Dan Falkenham and Brandon Matheson, co-owner of Drummer North America.
