Contestant Information

Deadline to register for the 2017 Central Canada Drummer contests is midnight, Sunday, April 9, 2017.

The Central Canada Drummer contests are designed to better reflect the reality of gay men active today in the fetish/kink communities.

Not limited to being a ‘leather contest’ the titles are fetish titles and are open to contestants who celebrate any of the broader range of fetish identities of gay men — from military, sports kit and rubber, to leather, skinhead, punk and uniforms, to name a few.

Two fetish contests — Central Canada Drummer and Central Canada Drummerboy — are open to gay-identified, biological and trans men in the fetish/kink communities who are residents of Ontario. (Gay-identified trans men do not require government issued male identification.)

The Central Canada Drummer contests also reach beyond limitations of contests focused on one narrow power dynamic. The titles are open to contestants who identify as Dom, sub, Daddy, Coach, Master, slave, Sir, boys, and others — alongside gay kinksters who are only gear-focused and perhaps not into power dynamics at all.

Additionally, each title is a welcoming home to contestants comfortable exploring power dynamics at both ends of the spectrum or anywhere in between, and those that migrate across a wide range of gear and play.

It is not about ‘old guard’ or ‘new guard’ — though we honour our leather history and traditions, and celebrate and welcome those that identify with either — but our focus is creating spaces and events where gay men can have fun with the intersections of fetish and sex.

Central Canada is a region of the Drummer North America (DNA) family. Winners of the Central Canada contests advance to compete at the DNA fetish weekend in February.

Though these contests are open exclusively to male contestants, Central Canada Drummer embraces and welcomes our kinky lesbian sisters to join our celebration and events and to participate in the ‘Women of Drummer,’ who will have a presence and be active at both the Central Canada and DNA weekends.
